Where Are All The Kids?!

The weather is nice today in the 70s with a bit of sun and a little wind. Normally, after I pick her up from school, we park in the garage and head straight into the house. We're going grocery shopping later today after King J gets home so I parked in the driveway. I realized, "What a beautiful day?" and asked Princess A if she wanted to ride her bike. She happily obliged and so I sat at the end of the driveway and watched her ride back and forth between the two neighboring homes.

Sponsored: New PowerSkin Spare for iPhone 6

Right before Christmas, my husband surprised me with an iPhone 6. My previous phone had met an early demise thanks to a helpful 5 year old who "wanted to get the dust off mommy's phone by rinsing it off!" The joys of parenthood.

Sponsored: Join in the TMUMC Campaign for Clean Water

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Trietsch Memorial United Methodist Church. All opinions are 100% mine.

In our country, we are blessed not to have to worry about being thirsty. Not the "I'm parched, I need to get something to drink," thirst. I'm talking about the "I'll die soon without water" thirst. We simply don't have that struggle here in America, but many places around the world do.

Trietsch Memorial United Methodist Church, in Flower Mound, TX, is partnering with Charity: Water to raise $50K to build a water well that will bring clean water to thousands for the first time. Everyone deserves the basic right to clean water, but over 748 million people (about 1 in 9 people) in the world do not have access to it. Join together with Trietsch Memorial United Methodist Church and help change that.

Clean Water Facts:
  • Unsafe water and lack of basic sanitation kill more people every year than all forms of violence, including war.
  • Over 5,000 children die per day due to not having clean water to survive.
  • Clean water alone can reduce water-related deaths by 21%.
  • In Africa alone, people spend 40 billion hours every year walking in search for water.

Trietsch Memorial United Methodist Church wants to help create a thirst for Christ and end thirst in the world. "We want everyone to understand the rich gift of water from God is for all of creation, both in its physical form for life and in its spiritual form found in Jesus for our spiritual sustenance. We understand Jesus as the living water we need for true living and because of that living water, we can offer physical water to those who may not have enough for life."
On the last and most important day of the festival, Jesus stood up and shouted, “If you are thirsty, come to me and drink! Have faith in me, and you will have life-giving water flowing from deep inside you, just as the Scriptures say.” John 7:37-38 (CEV)

So help play a small part in solving the water crisis -- donate to the Trietsch Memorial United Methodist Church campaign. 100% of everything raised will directly fund water projects and when those projects are finished, Charity: Water will send Trietsch Memorial United Methodist Church proof in pictures and GPS coordinates, so we can see the actual people and communities we impacted.
