Free $10 Amazon Giftcard from Viewpoints!

In an earlier post this week about ways to get freebies nI mentioned Viewpoints as a great way to test new products. Well in honor of their 3rd Birthday they have created a promotion where they will give a $10 giftcard to Amazon.com for writing 10 reviews on products you already use! These reviews do have to be a certain length and the products must fall within certain categories to be eligible. Hurry, these are only available to the first 10,000 eligible reviews! I am not eligible for this offer though =( because I joined Viewpoints through another reward site so I'm already getting rewarded for my reviews, but for those of you who join straight from their site will be eligible for this! I did complete a promotion like this through the Kmart/Sears review community (powered by Viewpoints) and received a $5 giftcard to Kmart for writing 5 reviews. It took maybe a month to recieve the email with the giftcard info but it was worth it!

Summarized rules of the promotion:
Write reviews between May 18 - May 31, 2010
At least 1 full paragraph (900 characters) in length
Fall within qualifying categories
Inappropriate or bogus content (unreal product reviews) will be removed

"Viewpoints.com will email a $10 Amazon.com Gift Card to recipients who wrote 10 qualifying reviews. Gift cards will be sent out within 30 days of the program conclusion. This program ends May 31, 2010.
Read official rules."

Ideally, these reviews should only take 10 minutes or less each to write.
Some good tips are:
  1. State what type of person you are (ex: busy mom of a 2yr old, minimalist, skeptic)
  2. Why you purchased the product (ex: other products don't work as well, curious, referred by friend)
  3. Features of the product (re-word from the label or box)
  4. How well/poor the product turned out to be (explain in detail why or why not it lived up to the listed features)
  5. How likely you are to recommend this to others and Overall Satisfaction with product sompared with price. Explain in detail if possible. (ex: Not what I expected but for the price it was okay. I may purchase again.)
