Review: "How to Move From Blogger to Wordpress" by Sharon Hujik

It's no secret that by the end of the summer I plan to have made the switch from Blogger to Wordpress. I'm most looking forward to the numerous plugins that the Wordpress software allows to make your blogging experience easier and more efficient. I have began the process several times, only to find myself stopping short for fears of irreplaceable damage to my blog. To be frank, the whole process intimidates me. I've thought about hiring someone who could do the whole process for me, plus maybe even a new design but the price is not possible for my family right now. I'm a DIY kind of person anyways.

So what do you do?

Find a book that teaches you how to do it, step by step. A book whose language is for everyday people, not just the experienced. "How to Move From Blogger to Wordpress" by Sharon Hujik is that book, well ebook I should say. This downloadable guide outlines the steps needed to successfully move your blog to Wordpress without losing your followers or pagerank. It even shows you how to set up a test blog before moving completely over to Wordpress, which has been extremely helpful to me.

The ebook is very easy to read and written in a way that gives the reader confidence that they will be able to make this huge step. Read it all the way through to get an overall idea of the process or simply go step by step as you make the transfer. The choice is up to the reader. Sharon also includes a checklist with the ebook to help make the move easier. You can preview the the first chapter here (.zip file).

"How to Move From Blogger to Wordpress is available to purchase on the book's website at www.howtomovefrombloggertowordpress.com. Sharon has even included a promo code good for 20% off your purchase and includes a discount to get $20 off hosting! Definitely check out this great investment if you're considering moving to Wordpress too and tell her Tiffany sent you!
Disclosure: I was provided a copy of this book by the author without charge for the purpose of review. All opinions are mine.
