Budget Savvy Diva’s Guide to Slashing Your Grocery Bill by 50% or More By Sara Lundberg

I have been a fan of Sara’s Blog for about a year, finding it through a mutual blogging buddy. From deals to easy, tasty recipes, Budget Savvy Diva’s got the goods. That is why I was so excited to learn that there was a book coming out and even more excited when I got my hands on a copy of my own.

This is a very informative and fun book, just like the Budget Savvy Diva herself. The book itself is an easy to read, 150 page, 9 chapter, paperback with the sassy Diva avatar and her groceries across the front. It’s the perfect size for getting in a quick read before grocery shopping and dropping in your purse for reference.

As expected with the title, the Budget Savvy Divva guides the reader through the introductory world of coupons, how to use them, where to use them, stockpiles and more. What I found really interesting, were the unexpected, unadvertised chapters of the book like the recipes for examples. There are pages and pages of her fabulous budget friendly recipes in here. Now, I’m not sure where to put this book in my house, on the book shelf or with my cookbooks!! {*Laughs*} There’s also a chapter on cooking with kids in the kitchen, which I find really useful with a young one showing interest in what I’m doing in there. Lastly, she includes a chapter on leftovers. I mean, who thinks of that right?! Tons of great ideas in there I can’t wait to use in the near future.

I loved reading this book. It’s definitely one that I will be rereading often for the tips and recipes. Part of me wishes that it were longer but that just means I’m looking forward to the next one. In the meantime, I will be checking out her social network channels:

I’d recommend this book for beginning couponers, couponers in need of a refresher, new moms, new wives, friends and family.
