$5 gift certificate from E.l.f. cosmetics for answering a question on thier blog

How can you get awesome freebies like these?
  1. Open a separate email account for freebies only (some freebies automatically sign you up to subscribe to newsletters and you don't want that clogging your primary email.)
  2. Open a free Facebook (FB) and a free Twitter account. Protect your info by showing the least amount of info such as having info visible to "only friends" on FB and protecting your tweets on Twitter.
  3. Fan & Follow your fave companies. They often give out discount codes or promotions
  4. Fan & Follow Freebies 4 Mom, For the Mommas, Katiecouturexo Freebies, Money Saving Mom and the Freebie Blogger for freebies as they become avaible. (Have SMS updates sent to your computer to get updates sent to your phone instantly)
  5. Join, Fan & Follow Viewpoints for samples and giveaways (You can also join them through MyPoints and get points to write reviews with them as well. These points go towards giftcards)
  6. Join Vocalpoint for great freebies and coupons (these often show up randomly)
  7. Join Kraft First Taste for coupons for free or almost free grocery items to try.
  8. Register at Mercury Magazines. When new magazines that fit your profile (I did mine as homemaker) then you will receive and email with an invite to apply for the free subscription. I get several free magazine titles from them.
  9. Sign up for your favorite restaurants' dining club. You're almost guaranteed to get awesome rewards.
  10. Note: When filling out freebie forms, put as little personal info as possible such as instead of your whole name e.g. Jane Doe put J. Doe and use a phone number you rarely answer. I use my cell more than the home number so I always use my home (unless I really want to receive mobile updates or something.) Try not to put any personal info on your children. Use nicknames instead.
  11. Have fun! I use freebies as a way to try new stuff, have stuff for rainy days, and as a way to curve my shopping impulses. If I'm getting loads of stuff in the mail, do I really need to go BUY something - not unless its neccessary.

If you have any great freebie sites that I have not listed, please let me know! I love finding new sites and if you have and trouble finding any of the sites I have listed I can get you the direct link. Thanks and happy freebie hunting!
