More Than A Young Wife & Mom

Remember my post about the largest bounce house ever?!

Over the weekend, me, the kids and our friends went to experience The Big Bounce America, aka, the largest bounce house ever! It was chilly outside but so worth it.

We made the drive from the suburbs into Houston and were amazed when we saw how massive the bounce house was. We arrived about 15 minutes earlier than our bounce time, got our wristbands and waited in line. I can't tell you how excited everyone was, kids and adults alike. While we waited there were games to play as well as a HUGE setup for pics.

Bridgeland, a master-planned community located in Cypress, TX will be holding their annual fall festival on October, 21 from 10am-4pm. The 9th Annual Howl-O-Ween Fest in Bridgeland®  is a dog-centric event and this year will feature headlining act The Super Collies, contestants on the latest season of America’s Got Talent.  Led by Sara Carson, one of the top dog trick instructors in the world, the talented group has also been featured on The Late Show with David Letterman and The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Carson and The Super Collies will be joined by the Dynamo Dogs, Houston Disc Dogs and The Amazing Blake. All four groups will be part of a lineup that features new acts performing every 30 minutes.

When I reflect on my experience at Women of Faith, the first word that comes to mind is...WOW! This year's theme is Imagine, taken from Ephesians 3:20 in The Message version of the Bible:

This summer has been all about renewing and building my relationship with God. Over the past few years, I have let life get in the way of that relationship, but He was there all along trying to get my attention. I did finally get the message and have made God first in my life. Let me share with you that those years without my church family and having that fellowship with other Christians, my life just had a BIG hole in it.

That's why I'm so excited to be back home and on the right path!

There will be speakers, musical guests and more! Since this is my first time attending, I was happy to find this preview video to get an idea of how amazing it will be to experience in person.

Here are a few facts about Women of Faith event's:

• Began in 1996
• Over 4 million women have attended an event
• Events lasts 2 days but "the effect of those two days can last a lifetime."
• There are 28 events scheduled for fall 2011
• 160,000 children have been sponsored through World Vision by Women of Faith attendees.
